Bridal makeup can be a little bit heavier than your daily face makeup. High resolution cameras, crying and long hours all contribute the need to touch up your wedding makeup. The following article will outline the 3 makeup items we recommend carrying with you on the big day!

Lights, Camera - POWDER!

You have no idea how many times I have heard the sentence : " I really don't want to wear any powder, I like a dewy look." While I can completely relate to wanting to look natural and radiant on your big day, this is not the time for just creams and glow serums. A flawless finish for DSLR cameras requires a matte finish. No powder = bumpy, pore ridden textures. Don't even get me started on the nightmare of editing for photographers when you have no powder on. To create a smooth skin texture you will need a high quality finely milled powder.

Glow baby, glow! Highlighting products that are powder in form look better in professional photos. Here is the number one option for touch up powder.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder

Finely milled, buildable coverage and a great color selection make this CT Airbrush Flawless Powder the perfect "touch up" powder. It also has gorgeous packaging, this is great for photos if your photographer catches you in a candid moment in between dances.

Blink, Blink, Blink....

There is nothing worse than ugly crying in front of a large crowd and then proceeding to loose an eyelash. To ensure your lashes make it to the end of the night, make sure you use a latex free, washable glue. Here are two of my faves. Shove one of these in your to go bag. The brush on applicator makes it easy to touch up corners and reapply quickly. (especially helpful for bridesmaids!)

DUO Adhesive Lash Adhesive Brush On Clear

Easy to get and long lasting, this is a winner for lashes on the big day.
Pro Tip: Brush on the glue and wait 45 seconds for the glue to get tacky. Tacky glue helps apply the lash more effectively.

CALLAS Eyelash Adhesive Clear

My favorite of all time. It dries fast and lasts until you wash it off. Highly recommended and can be found on Amazon or at Naimies in LA.

The Multi-Tasker ....

Lips and cheeks can loose color as the day wears on. Long hours, tears and weather can all affect the longevity of blush and lipstick. I recommend finding a long lasting cream lipstick that you can use for the lips and the cheeks. I recommend a softer color so you don't have to spend much time fussing with perfect lip lines or contour.

Depending on your skin tone you may need to choose a color more suited to you. The one I use most for bridal touch up is

NARS LIPSTICK in Toléde

Soft and creamy is the name of the game for touch up lipsticks. Throw it in your to go bag for a quick flush of color that is as plush as it is rosy.Side note: Any creamy satin lippie will do!

Making sure you feel confident and beautiful on your big day is all that matters. Fill your to go bag with things that you love. ( Don't forget snacks too! )
